SAYING SO-LONG TO THE SUMMER
As the summer travel season comes to an end, the costal airports of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria return to their quiet, daily routines. Meanwhile, airports in Eastern Europe are beginning to buzz with the return of dark suited business-men, arriving on private jets.
Since the economic downturn there had been mixed opinions about what might happen to the private jet industry during the summer months. At Euro Jet we were grateful to have had a similar flight volume as in summers past. Sadly though, we’ve seen some operators leaving, signaling that the crisis may still be hanging over the aviation industry in general.
As we say good bye to the sunny Balkan seaside airports until next summer, we eagerly look forward to the bustle of Prague, Bucharest, Sofia, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Baku and Kiev, which currently seem to be the most popular destinations for business and political elite.
In our current newsletter we have chosen to highlight the exciting country of Ukraine and introduce you to a few airports where we have presence. Each month you can look forward to being introduced to new, Euro Jet represented airports in our monthly newsletter. You can also always find further information about each of our destinations at our website:

AIRPORTS IN FOCUS: UKRAINE
Since April, Euro Jet has centralized our Ukrainian operations at our 24/7 service center in Prague, giving clients the convenience of a single contact number for the Ukrainian territory. Euro Jet is also proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Olga Fedorchenko as country manager for Ukraine. Ms. Fedorchenko is based in Kiev and has extensive aviation and customer service experience. Euro Jet constantly monitors operational challenges, especially in regions where private and business aviation still need improvements. We are continuously providing the necessary trainings for staff and improvements in services to improve safety and quality.
Recent improvements to the six major Ukrainian airports we service were accomplished through Euro Jet’s top staffing appoints and by making crew and passengers requirements a priority. While some of the facilities in Ukraine are still in development, Euro Jet is there to make sure you get to where you need to go, efficiently, safely and in the upmost comfort. Here is a brief introduction to a few of our Ukrainian airports:
UKBB - KIEV BORISPOL
This airport is one of the busiest airports in Ukraine, located 20km from Kiev, the drive to the city center takes about 40 minutes. There is a VIP terminal and companion VIP lounge. Euro Jet offers discounted, reliable transport to this airport and also discounted hotel accommodation for the crew.
UKCC - DONETSK
A busy airport in Ukraine, Donetsk has two VIP halls, and a free of charge crew-lounge available. As the terminal building has no toilet facilities, the VIP halls are recommended. Catering is available exclusively from the airport catering, which operates solely in Ukrainian. The airport is a 20 minutes drive from the city. The best hotel accommodation for the crew also offers non-smoking facilities. To avoid stale, smoky rooms and corridors, just ask Euro Jet to arrange accommodation. A Euro Jet representative is on site to ensure all travel arrangements go smoothly.
UKDD - DNEPROPETROVSK
The Dnepropetrovsk airport is about 20 minutes from the city by car. The airport is newly reconstructed with a small VIP lounge, but no crew lounge. Catering is reliable and available 24/7.
EURO JET HAS NEW RAMP VEHICLE AT TIVAT (LYTV) AIRPORT
After several years of operation at LYTV airport in Tivat, Montenegro, Euro Jet has finalized an agreement with airport authorities to place our new Merceds Viano van on the ramp. The move was welcomed by Tivat Airport Commercial Director, Ms. Slavka Bauk and now there is no need to walk on the hot concrete apron. Tivat Airport also has a newly constructed parking area for general aviation, located approximately 300 meters from the terminal building.
